A comprehensive national defense education park was recently established at Horinger County in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region. It is the first complex across the country for education in national defense, science and patriotism.
The park was constructed by Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) after 11 years of preparation and collection.
So far, it has collected nearly 30 pieces of heavy-duty equipment including tanks, armored vehicles, bazookas and antiaircraft guns.
Pang Min, director of the department of the army at IMNU, said that IMNU leads the universities in the country in quantity and types of military equipment.
IMNU has made great contributions to the training of military talents, military skills and construction of national defense education bases over the past several years.
It set up the National Defense Education Committee to bring national defense education to the campus and made it a basic project to improve the comprehensive qualities of college students.
